TWO SOLDIERS, OTHERS KILLED IN BASSA LGA OF PLATEAU STATE, 40 HOUSES RAZED

Two soldiers attached to Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and two other persons were reportedly killed on Saturday in Katummai village of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. Our correspondent gathered that about 40 houses were set ablaze and 35 cows killed in the village, following the killing of the two soldiers. Sources from Bassa told our correspondent that the two soldiers were shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen when they arrived the embattled area to settle dispute between Fulani and Irigwe communities. This is coming barely a month after a similar incident occurred in Gindin Akwati village of Barikin Ladi LGA of the state where two soldiers attached to the OPSH were equally killed by unknown gunmen in the area and about 150 Fulani houses  were set ablaze. ADVERTISEMENT HOW OVER 5000 NIGERIA MEN HAVE PERMANENTLY OVERCOME TERRIBLE BEDROOM PERFORMANCE DUE TO THIS RECENT DISCOVERY BY MEDICAL CONSULTANTS The state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Isah Baffa, condemned the Saturday incident adding that “Investigation has not been carried out into the matter but houses were burnt.” “MACBAN in strong terms condemned the attack on the soldiers and burning down of houses belonging to our members for no reason. We are not in any way supporting any form of criminality and nobody should be encouraged to do that. We are calling on the appropriate authority to investigate the cause of the incident and bring to book whoever is found guilty. We are equally calling on our members to remain calm and be law abiding,” Baffa added. Efforts to get confirmation and reaction on the development from OPSH’s Media and Information Offer, Major Ibrahim Shittu, was, however, unsuccessful as calls put to him were not answered and a message sent to him was not replied as at press time.

WITHDRAWAL OF ADVOCACY FOR MWAGHAVUL NATION .

22/3/2020

My name is Akims Mamot James I am social media crusader and a practising Arabic Language scholar resident in Mangu and a maternal son of Mwaghavul Nation.

I have put in my strength, time and energy to campaign and advocate for the Mwaghavul nation ahead of 2023 election with a clear notion projecting my show love to the Mwaghavul vision 2023 but I have come to terms with reality haven notice that what I do is instead making some ethnic bigots to give it a different interpretation.

On a personal thought I have decided to withdrawn as I have not been contracted or using my time to advocate for any reward.

I wish the general public to know that I have resolve to support any candidate of my choice either from the Mwaghavul extraction or any person I deem it fit at any part of Plateau State. My decision was informed by the non readiness of stakeholder of my party from the Mwaghavul extraction who are bent on operating base on self and personal plow for individualistic attainment of gold instead of the general vision of the people ” Mwaghavul “.

I also wish to state clearly that I am not under ant complement to make this public but a personal decision.

I wish to also call on the attention of all my followers on various platforms to understand that I not against the Mwaghavul vision 2023.

I wish to use this medium to further informed the general public that I shall henceforth sees to be an admin of the following forums.

  • Mwaghavul Elite Forum a group I pioneered to unite the elites to think front as a family.
  • Mwaghavul political forum. To articulate and discuss all relevant issues together as one people.
  • Mwaghavul vision 2023 to propagate and draw a template for a progressive and champion the 2023 dream
  • Mwaghavul /Ron forum to unite and aide the thinking of the two ethnic family fused together.
  • Mwaghavul First; a thoughtful avenue to instilled the thinking of Mwaghavul to Mwaghavul unity as it favours the collective resolves of the Mwaghavul nation.

  • Do’or khi yem Mwaghavul; meaning the voice of the Mwaghavul speaking through resolution as one people each time there is disagreement.
  • Ar Kam Tang Ran; because of my indelible language monopoly and the linguistic pro that I have become, I have also volunteer to teach many Mwaghavul sons and daughters who have lost contact with their mother tongue and cannot speak their language again.

I have been able to make a lot of impact and also go as far to reconcile so many cases of disunity among brothers, friends and family in the course of this journey.

My withdrawal like I said is not with a y intend or by any means making caricature of my maternal parents but to stay clear of engaging into the affairs of the Nation as some individuals are taking it too personal and feeling I am taking their birth right away from them.

The above groups shall henceforth be suspended and it can be reintroduce by anyone for the betterment and progress of Mwaghavul nation.

I wish the Mwaghavul nation the best in her pursue for whatever will bring good result to her success in life generally.

My loyalty and support to individuals, family and friends remain intact as this withdrawal do not affect my personal dealing with anyone from Mwaghavul nation.

I am still maternally part of Mwaghavul nation but not an advocate of the generality of her vision because it is not my responsibility in any capacity.

APPRECIATING GOD FOR THE RELEASE OF SAHURA AND ISIAKA (BARRISTER) FROM KIDNAPPERS’ DEN

I was woken up around 3.30am this morning (21-03-2020) to the cheering news of the release of my sister Inlaw, Sahura Bolaji Yusuf Gagdi, who was kidnapped about a week ago from my family compound at Gum/Gagdi, and my brother Isiaka Barrister who was also held captive by the kidnappers while trying to deliver the ransom to the kidnappers for the release of my brother’s wife two days ago.

I want to thank God for their release and also appreciate those who stood by me while the tribulation lasted. It is quite traumatic to have your loved ones held captive by daredevil armed wielding kidnappers, it is a bad experience one cannot wish for even one’s enemy.

My special appreciation goes to our Leaders, Dist Senator Dimka and Dr Sale Mohammed Kanam for their support and active involvement to secure the release of the captives.

I appreciate Rt Hon Sale Shehu Yipmong, Deputy Speaker PLHA for his supportive role during my trying moment. May God reward you abundantly.

Aplang who was dressed to the church with his best man, families, and relatives, shocked the church that was full of the congregation to witness their wedding, when the Pastor of the church, located around NTA Jos, asked him to take his marriage vow.

Aplang was asked on the altar by the pastor, do you take Judith as your wife for batter for worse, he replied no, the pastor repeated, do you take Judith as your wife for better for worse, he replied, “Pastor, I hear, and understand English very well, I said no”

Then the pastor asked him, but you are dressed and came ready for the wedding, he replied, “sorry, I made up my mind 10 years ago to disgrace her”

As soon as he said that, he walked out of the church, and was followed by his best man and his friends who drove out of the church premises.

This medium learned that Judith, the lady he was to get married to, collapsed inside the church and was taken to a private hospital around Plateau State Polytechnic.

Mr. Peter Sani, a best man to Aplang, who narrated the incident to newsmen, said that was the embarrassing moment of his life.

“Aplang has been a childhood friend, Ruth has been a friend and sister too, he dated her for over 12 years, I was in the church to serve as a best man, and also as a fulfilled man having witnessed their wedding, but I was shocked and embarrassed by what happened in the church today,” he said.

“This is not ordinary, Aplang confides in me on any issue, if he had the plan to walk out on the altar, I am very optimistic he would have told me, what happened today is unimaginable, I came out of the church shaking and weeping” he added.
