Wase equity project brings to you the warmest of all regards on this historic day in Christian Life, as we remember the sacrifice of Christ on the cross of calvary to pay for the price of the sins of the world.

As we celebrate this season,let us reflect on the lessons of this great sacrifice made by Christ for the world and demonstrate same in our daily dealings.

For our brothers and sisters in Wase Federal Constituency, many are celebrating this day indoors due to the global pandemic,COVID -19,hence the need to use this moment to be closer to God.

Let us pray for those affected by this disease, believing that in unity we shall come out stronger.

In addition, we are soliciting for prayers for our leader, His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase,the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives and other leaders as they are faced with the great task of bringing solutions to the problems of the country especially the dreaded pandemic and its negative impact on the socio-economic life of Nigerians.

We are calling on all to obey constituted authorities during this lockdown period,while also adhering to health regulations of social distancing and regular washing of hands.

This is another season of love,a season the believers world over reflects on the death,burial and resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ.Jesus willfully went to cross for humanity so that we can all be saved.

As we celebrate this season,let us reflect on the lessons of this great sacrifice made by God for us and demonstrate same to humanity.

For my brothers and sisters on the plateau and Nigeria at large,many of us are celebrating this day indoors due to the emergence of this demonic global pandemic,COVID -19,but we should know that Jesus paid for all these on the cross.let us use this moment to be closer to God.in the face of this difficulty,I want you all to know that,as Paul the apostle wrote”for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us”Romans 8:18,I strongly believe that God is bringing us out stronger and glorious in Jesus name.

As we pray for those affected by this monster,covid-19,observed the precautionary measures and give attention to hygiene,let us know that Jesus paid for this sickness also on the cross and this shall also come to pass.

As we obey constituted authorities during this lockdown period,the blessings of obedience will follow us.I am so concern particular for our brothers and sisters who survive on daily work who may not have what to eat during this lockdown.we will do whatever we can to assist in any small way.know that,we are with you.

KILLINGS IN BASSA VILLAGE: GOVERNOR LALONG FUMES, ORDERS MANHUNT FOR KILLERS

After another fresh attack on Mgbrazongo village in Bassa Local Government area of Plateau State which led to the killing of 4 people including a Pastor, and destruction of properties, Governor Simon Bako Lalong has ordered security agencies to go after the killers and fish them out to face justice.

Governor Simon Lalong who expressed disgust over the barbaric actions
of the criminals who do not only have respect for the sanctity of human lives, but have been consumed by their orgy for blood letting, said it is unfortunate that they chose the period when the State is working hard to confront the corona virus pandemic to perpetrate their murderous acts.

Governor Lalong who sympathised with the victims of the killings, said “Government will not tolerate these senseless acts of murder unleashed on innocent citizens.

I have directed traditional and community leaders to cooperate with security agencies in identifying these attackers who cannot be shielded as these attacks have persisted in recent weeks, a situation that is highly unacceptable to my administration”.

It will be recalled that some communities in Bassa Local Government recently came under attack where lives, properties and Livestock were lost. They include Ancha, Hukke and Nkyiedonworo.
The Governor dispatched a fact finding team led by Commissioner for Commerce Aku Abbey who visited the Bra Ngwe Rigwe His Royal Highness Rev. Ronku Aka and met with stakeholders including village and district heads, Ardos, and community leaders.

The stakeholders called for deployment of more security personnel in the communities which include Rehwenku,Tafigana, Katumai Rekwechongu, and Kpasho which are vulnerable to attacks.

The Governor also also directed the Peace Building Agency to engage relevant stakeholders to arrest such attacks through systematic dialogue as well as an enhanced security architecture.

COVID-19: Belle United Social Football Club Distributes Food Items to Widows as Palliative
As the World is being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, measures are being deployed globally to cope, prevent and contain the global outbreak of the disease.

As the outbreak continue to affect socio-economic activities as total lockdown is being observed, with over 1.5 million total confirmed cases and over 95,000 deaths recorded globally, Nigeria now has 288 total cases and 7 deaths recorded nationally, Belle United Social (BUS) Football Club as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has distributed food items to 21 selected vulnerable widows in Hwolshe Jos South LGA, Plateau State.

Speaking during the presentation of the items, Pharmacist Mizim Dagung Haruna, President of the Association said the gesture was done in empathy to the selected widows to help cushion the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impending lockdown in Plateau State.

Pharm. Mizim said the gesture became imperative owing to the result of the global COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant negative economic impact.

He urged the general public to stay safe, adhere to the preventive measures advised by health professionals and obey government directives with respect to all recommendations aimed at limiting the effect of the coronavirus.

Items distributed to the widows were Rice, Garri and Cartons of Indomie.

COVID-19:REP. DACHUNG MUSA BAGOS DEMANDS FG N20.000 CORONAVIRUS PALLIATIVE FOR HIS CONSTITUENTS


As the World continue to battle with the ravaging impact of the novel coronavirus, the Member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency Plateau State, Rep. Dachung Bagos has called for holistic approach to tackle the dreaded virus globally.

Rep. Bagos said with over 1.5 million total cases and over 89,000 deaths recorded globally, the disease has presented global threat to economic, social, cultural and religious activities worldwide.

While calling on citizens to adhere to all safety, preventive and precautionary measures as well as government directives at all levels, the Federal Lawmaker urged government at all levels to provide welfare palliative to address hunger crisis and malnutrition will be imminent among the poor population.

He challenged the Federal Government to demonstrate fairness, equity and empathy in the distribution of N20,000 coronavirus palliative to vulnerable Nigerians as the gesture is yet to reach his Constituents.
He decried how his Constituents are left out in the disbursement of the Coronavirus Palliative Funds by the Federal Government.

He said having forgone their two Months salaries to the fight against COVID-19 the Members House of Representatives will want to see their Constituents feeling the impact of the palliative by the Federal Government.

He said he has distributed Personal Protective Equipment and Food Items to the vulnerable in his Federal Constituency to assist them in this trying moment.

He called on government to provide PPE and express his willingness and readiness to volunteer as a Driver to distribute any form of palliatives to the people.

He urged the people to have faith in God and pray always saying the coronavirus and the hardships being faced are temporal.

COVID-19: GOVERNOR LALONG, FAMILY TEST NEGATIVE TO VIRUS.

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong and members of his family have tested negative to the Corona Virus disease after carrying out the test.
The samples of the Governor and members of his family were taken 2 days ago by health officials and forwarded to the NCDC laboratory in Abuja for examination.
The results came back today, 9th April 2020 and indicated negative for the Governor and members of his family.
Reacting to the results, Governor Lalong said he and his family decided to take the test in order to help in tackling the rising stigma that is gradually building up on the disease and making people reluctant of coming out even when they notice any symptoms.
He said “Corona Virus is not a death sentence and if we are not careful, people can die out of fear and stigma. I call on all our citizens particularly those who notice any symptoms of the disease including difficulty in breathing, fever, cough, sore throat, headache and general fatigue, or have had contact with any infected person to report to health officials and submit themselves for examination”.
Lalong said the Plateau State Government has continued to take proactive measures including a one week total lockdown beginning midnight Thurday 9th April to prevent movements that could expose the State to the disease.
Lalong also assured the people of the State that the NCDC has already approved the establishment of a corona virus testing centre in Plateau State which will take off very soon and reduce challenges associated with the shuttle to Abuja for testing.
He thanked the citizens of the State for their cooperation and compliance to Government directives in curbing COVID-19, assuring them that his administration will not subject them to any unnecessary hardship and losses.

PLATEAU STATE COVID-19 TOTAL LOCKDOWN: 10 MOBILE COURTS TO TRY VIOLATORS

As Plateau State goes into a total lockdown from midnight Thurday 9th April to Wednesday 15th April 2020, the Government has set up 10 mobile courts to try violators of the order.
The establishment of the mobile courts is meant to ensure enforcement and compliance to the directive of Government which is aimed at protecting the citizens from the Corona Virus Pandemic and also ensuring that the entire State is fumigated.
Members of the public are therefore advised to comply with the “no movement” order while those exempted because of their essential services are to carry their identify cards at all times.
Meanwhile the State has given out situation room Emergency response numbers for members of the public to call should the need arise. The numbers which will be available 24 hours are :

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has in the meantime appealed to citizens to bear with this unusual situation and make sacrifices because the problem is not peculiar to Plateau State, but is a global challenge as the world battles this pandemic.

While urging security agencies to be firm in enforcing compliance, the Governor wants them to remain professional and observe all rules of engagement warning that any security personnel who overreaches his mandate by engaging in corrupt conduct or brutality will be held accountable.

NAPTIN ARRESTED CHIEF PHARMACIST OF NATIONAL HOSPITAL ABUJA FOR HAVING AN ANAL SEX WITH A 12 YEARS OLD BOY


A 42 year old male resident of Spring Valley Estate of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Pharmacist Abubarkar Mustapha Danraka (pictured) has been arrested by Operatives of the National Agency for The Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP) for alleged sodomy.
Dankara, who has a PhD, was arrested after he had an anal sexual intercourse with a 12 year old boy (name withheld).
This offence is contrary to the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015
Mr. Abubakar Danraka who works at the National Hospital, Abuja as Chief Pharmacist is currently the Special Assistant (Technical) to the Director General of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja.
Apart from being a Pharmacist, Mr. Abubakar who hails from Zaria, Kaduna State is also an Imam in the Mosque within his estate.
Narrating his ordeal, the 12 year old victim told Operatives of NAPTIP that the crime took place on Saturday 21st March, 2020 at the residence of the Suspect. According to him, after their religious educational programme (Islamiyya) that afternoon, he decided to check on his friend who happens to be a neighbor to the suspect.
On getting there, after several knocks at the door, there was no response but as he made to leave, the suspect opened his door and beckoned on him. He subsequently grabbed his hand and took him into his sitting room. The suspect went further to offer him a glass of water to drink. Not suspecting any foul play, the boy drank the water and began to feel weak. In that state of weakness the suspect overpowered him laid him on a red settee in his sitting room and forced his penis into his (victim)anus.
After the suspect was done, he asked him to go home with a stern warning not to mention what had happened to anyone.
On getting home, his mother scolded him about his whereabouts but noticed her son was uneasy. She took him into the room questioned him and he opened up about what had happened to him.
The victim said, his mother checked his body and saw sperm content and bruises around his anus region. She and the father rushed him to the National hospital, Abuja where he was admitted. The victim was discharged on Thursday 26th of March, 2020 after spending five days in the hospital.
The suspect who is currently in NAPTIP’s custody has denied that no such event occurred. However, an identification parade was done where a number of men with the height and stature of the suspect were put together, and the victim pointed out the suspect. Subsequent investigation at the home of the suspect also corroborated the narration of the victim especially with the colours of the furniture in the suspects’ sitting room as well as the setting of the place. Further investigations are ongoing.
While reacting to the incident, the Director-Genera
l of NAPTIP, Dame Julie Okah-Donli expressed sadness and wondered why such a person should get involved into such a crime. She however, appealed to parents to always be vigilant on issues of their children.

CORONAVIRUS:15 CHINESE DOCTORS ARRIVE IN NIGERIA


A 15-member medical team from China has arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on a chattered Air Peace aircraft.
The medical personnel who landed around 5:15 pm were received by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Zhou Pingjian; Executive Director, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, Mr Jacques Liao, senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health and others.
The personnel, who are experts in infectious diseases, respiratory illness, intensive care, cardiology, neurology, general surgery and anesthesiology, were all wearing face masks as they filed out of the aircraft.
They will spend 30 days in the country.
The visit of the medical team had been mired in controversy with the Nigerian Medical Association and various groups opposing the initiative.
But the CCECC which facilitated the visit said the Chinese doctors were coming to treat its staff, adding that they would be coming with their drugs, and equipment to carry out COVID-19 tests on the company’s workers in the country.
Liao, in a statement on Tuesday, also disclosed that the medical team would be coming with 16-ton test kits, ventilators, disinfection machine, disposable medical masks, drugs, infrared thermometer and other items ordered by the Federal Government.
He noted, “All members of the working team have tested negative for COVID-19 and shall commence their stay in Nigeria by spending 14 days in quarantine.
“The primary purpose of the team is to provide CCECC employees with critical and necessary healthcare assistance. They are also coming with adequate personal protective equipment and medical items for the employees.”
