Mr. Joseph Gobum Mukan has been appointed as the new commissioner of Police (CP) for Rivers state in the latest redeployment and posting by the police high command.
Force public Relations Officer, force headquarters, DCP Frank Mba, in a statement on Friday, said the former commissioner of Police, CP Dandaura Mustapha is redeployed to Force headquarters as CP provost.
He said: “The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered the posting and redeployment of the following Senior Police Officers to Command/Formation/Department indicated against their names: CP Dandaura Mustapha – CP Provost FHQ, Abuja, CP Joseph Gobum Mukan, psc(+) – CP Rivers Command and CP Musa Adze, fdc – CP Anti-Fraud Unit”.
The new commissioner of Police replaces CP Dandaura Mustapha, who is posted to the Force headquarters in Abuja as the CP provost.
Mba, who reiterated that the redeployment of the three affected seniors police officers is with immediate effect, said the IGP charged them to diligently and professionally discharge their duties in their new areas of responsibilities.
